La Guardia Civil ha empezado a usar un buscador, Híspalis, para combatir la pedofilia. Se trata de un buscador que rastrea las redes P2P buscando archivos que ya tenga clasificados entre los 50.000 de su base de datos. Para conseguirlo, con la función llamada Hash consigue extraer información de imágenes.

Gracias al efectivo buscador, en seis días ya ha detectado a 136 pederastas. Tal como se afirma, este buscador es una novedad mundial en su materia.

Hoy se celebra en España el I Día de Internet.

Se pretende concienciar a los españoles sobre los beneficios de Internet e incentivar su uso, especialmente entre aquellos grupos de la población que no usan demasiado Internet. Hoy en día los datos demuestran un secreto a voces, que son básicamente sólo los jóvenes los que se mueven con soltura por la red. El 63 por ciento de los españoles no usa Internet, el 37 por ciento de los que lo utilizan son jóvenes en su mayoría y sólo alrededor del once por ciento de los usuarios tiene más de cincuenta años.

Junto a varios actos que se celebrarán, entre ellos el de Todos.es, que desplegará varios autocares con acceso públic0 a Internet, entre otros actos, destaca que Red.es, la entidad pública encargada de gestionar los dominios .es, regalará hoy 5.000 dominios .es de tercer nivel, es decir, dominios .com.es, .org.es y nom.es (quedan excluidos los .es, para los que se acerca la fecha de su liberación el 8 de noviembre) a través de los registradores acreditados.

Firefox ya se ha descargado más de 100.000.000 veces. Crece el uso de ese gran navegador gratuito.

No worries, got the 503 in place, not like anything would recognize it but you never know. Decided to do these updates in reverse order too…

One of DaveN’s guys, Rob, tells me i shouldn’t kill the repair. So im afraid it looks like we might be in this for the duration. If anyone knows how to send a 503 properly with PHP can you please IM me at nickwthreadwatch (aim) or nick@threadwatch.org (msn)? Cheers!

It’s trying to “repair” the DB now, but i have the feeling that backing up, and bzip2′ing a 502MB DB every half hour might have something to do with it also…

I know this is a big database (ish) but this is getting bloody silly now. NOw the question is do i stop it repairing? It might just mean i have to do this all again sometime, or it could be just “hanging”. Who know? Guess I’ll have to wait it out just a little longer, sorry about this folks
